How to use K18: dose, timing and the next step
A compact guide to K18's leave-in mask: the dose for your bottle, the four-minute pause, initial use and optional leave-in conditioner.
Check the bottle size before you start. K18's 15 mL mini has a different pump dose from the 50 mL bottle. This guide follows the manufacturer's leave-in routine.
The routine in order
- 1Wash your hair, leaving conditioner out of this step.
- 2Blot away excess water with a towel; the hair should remain damp.
- 3For the 50 mL bottle, begin with one pump and increase only if needed, within K18's one-to-three-pump range. For the 15 mL mini, begin with three; its stated range is three to nine. Distribute from the ends upward.
- 4Wait the full four minutes before combing or adding another product. Leave the mask in your hair.
- 5After the wait, comb gently and continue with styling.
Other bottle sizes
Follow the dose printed on that package. Pump volumes differ between sizes, so do not scale one size's range to another.
How often?
K18's product directions call for four to six consecutive shampoos at the start, followed by use as needed. Its product page also recommends clarifying first for heavy product users. Follow your product's directions; an initial course is different from choosing a maintenance interval.

Need a leave-in conditioner afterward?
K18's own routine guide allows a leave-in conditioner after the four-minute wait. If you use one, apply it only after that pause and follow its label. This is an optional leave-in step, not an instruction to return to the shower or rinse out the K18 mask.
